What is real hip hop?

I hear people talking about young Geezy and IT are just as real. I think they really are for real? Who really gangsta rappers think killing people and selling kilos of cocaine and boasting of murder in a CD world wide? If you honestly believe you are lame and simple. To top it Ludacris was a guy like that the rhymes are like the fire is called false and playful, because most of their music is honest. Is hip hop fan base really this lame? Please tell me you do not, and do not try this way makes no sense!

When I think of hip-hop, I compare it to the griot – the history of folklore roulette – The oral tradition was the most vital element in communication. The person in this role in the hip-hop has to be a story teller, a lyricist. Someone who can accurately paint a picture of the environment and their feelings, not just exploit it. A true MC is not simply a master of ceremony, a true MC moves the crowd. Acts back in the day had such diverse angles, (conscious, joyful, experimental), but they owned the corners, because the fundamentals were tight. He offered their respects to those who preceded them. But today? Not so much … Do you realize that just about every rapper in existence (if they are big now or once upon a time) has sampled James Brown, but only a handful attended his funeral? And when Tookie Williams, co-founder of the Crips, the co-head of the gangster lifestyle so many acts today glorify and magnify (the mess that was collected in the suburbs), when Williams was in the 11th when making their last efforts minutes for clemency, only a few rappers took up the cause on their own (at least I know about why Snoop was a former Crip) Many of the acts out there today are graters all bad some pattern out of control.
